08 Jul Week Five at Grand Canyon

Hello everyone, This is the fifth week of my internship with the YCC vegetation crew at Grand Canyon National Park. We had a wonderful day off during Independence Day. I took this time to be with my immediate family and watch the Williams firework display. It was a marvelous performance and probably the longest fireworks show I’ve seen. This week, the YCC Vegetation crew worked at the visitor center. The members where either weeding or trimming plants (sage, rubber rabbitbrush, etc.) that were hovering over the sidewalks. Afterwards, we discussed our official plan for the school garden. Each member has assigned themselves a number of plants for their specified polygons. We also discussed our meal plan for the rim-to-rim hike in a couple of weeks. It is unofficial, but the meal plan will be finalized by the end of the week. Sebastian
