22 Jun The West Coast is so Diverse!

Hey guys,

Living in the North Cascades has really gotten me out of my comfort zone in terms of being so isolated, but it has also gotten me to go out, explore and learn about all the life that is out there. SO, of course I would take an ID book about plants, and I was amazed by how big the book was and how huge the diversity is here in the west coast. There is so much to see and learn, and just in the second day of being out here I swear I learned more than 20 species of invasive plant species. I am in the process of going over the butterflies that I am going to encounter, and all I know is that by the end of this internship I can confidently call myself a butterfly specialist hahaha.
