¡Que hay! Welcome to my blog.

Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo, San Antonio, Texas

Hello everyone! My name is David José González Nevárez, a second-generation university student getting a major on History at the Americas and a minor on Digital Art from the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras. My main interests are paleography and animation, two things I´m hoping to combine in order to make historical production as accessible as possible.

This summer, I will be working as an archive intern at the San Antonio National Historic Park, cooperating with local staff to create a public database/crowdsourcing project intended to recollect photographs of the towns and communities that developed around the San Antonio missions throughout their history in order to better understand the real people that have lived within these ancient walls and fields for hundreds of years.

I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to be able to put my grain of sand in helping preserve the rich history of the various peoples of this city and I look forward to sharing my process and experiences with everyone during my stay.
