Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve

Well friends, it’s been exactly 2 weeks since I arrived here in Wyoming and I couldn’t be any happier. I’m finally settled in and don’t get too disoriented waking up in a different state. I have two pretty amazing roommates, teammates, and friends. Sunday was my official first day of work. After 2 weeks of intense training, I was finally able to put my knowledge and skills to the test. I arrived Sunday morning and was on parking lot duty. So far, image2this has been my favorite because it’s the first encounter you have with the visitors. You get to meet new people from all over the country and have conversations with them from “which hike do you recommend?” to simply “Where can I find the bathroom?”. Each encounter is as unique as the person driving the car, but equally rewarding. I really enjoy my team here at the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve. We all have an amazing group dynamic, and I think that we all work very well together. I’m very fortunate to work with one of my roommates, Vanessa Carillo and coming home and being able to debrief about our days is very rewarding. I’m very excited to see where the rest of the summer takes me, and I know it’s going to be a very worthwhile adventure.

Until next week!
