KLGO Snapchat Takeover

I have been fortunate enough during this internship to play many different roles at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. Last week, I was asked to help the KLGO social media team take over the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Snapchat. Interpretive Ranger Anne Lattka, Visual Information Specialist Kira Pontius, and I joined forces in an attempt to create the best possible Snap Story to showcase our park.

We took viewers through a tour of some of the most prominent sites in Skagway. Anne and I posed in many of the National Park Service (NPS) buildings, including the Moore Cabin, the Mascot Saloon, and the interactive museum located next to the NPS Visitor Center. Additionally, we led viewers down beautiful walking trails near the historic district of town. I truly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to work with such creative people.
