This position is designed to support Bering Land Bridge National Preserve in their social media efforts with a primary focus on the planning and coordination of NPS Fashion Week. 

NPS Fashion Week is a service-wide campaign that began at Bering Land Bridge. Most of the coordination happens at Bering Land Bridge, while actionable ideas are crowd-sourced from social media authors across the service via the NPS Brainstorming Group. As of 2021, #NPSFashionWeek gained support from the Washington Office and is now part of its yearly communication messages.

The intern will have the opportunity to be part of a fun and innovative social media campaign that is growing in popularity across the service. 

Additionally, the intern will craft web and social media content per guidance of the Visual Information Specialist and the Office of Communication’s Monthly Themes. Themes include, but are not limited to, Wilderness Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and October’s Monthly themed typically centered around the arts.
