02 Dec Digital Communications Intern

Website WASO Office of Communications
The Office of Communications supports the National Park Service (NPS) with innovative and responsive communications strategies and leads the Service in exploring new ways to communicate broadly about the National Park Service’s mission. The intern will support these efforts working with the Digital Strategy and Public Affairs Divisions in the office.
The intern will help with messaging on projects that connect various audiences to the National Park Service, its mission, and amazing places, including planning and promoting the annual Latino Conservation Week and the work of the LHIP interns nationwide through products such as web pages, articles, social media posts, podcasts, or videos. In all of the projects, they will gain practical experience with a communications rollout, which may include working through the entire process or being responsible for a piece of the plan, which may include webpages, articles, internal/external guidance, news releases, videos, photography, and social media posts. This work will help in the intern’s career development and provide insight and input to help expand the NPS audience. They will provide assistance in the facilitation, coordination, and distribution of information to national, regional, and park staff as well as various partners.
