Hello, my name is Jessica Muro, and I am from Los Angeles, California. I am currently a student at the University of California Riverside. I am majoring in Anthropology and minoring in History. I will be interning at the Midwest Archaeological Center in Lincoln, Nebraska for 10 weeks. I am looking forward to working on archaeological fieldwork and being able to have a great opportunity to be part of the Midwest Archaeological team. Focusing on research and fieldwork is important to preserve archaeological collections and sites for future generations and this will also allow for the public to see the past lives of humans and the environment.

I plan to pursue a graduate degree in Nutritional Sciences and this great research opportunity will help me understand how the constantly changing environment has impacted the lives of humans of the past. I am excited to meet and work with the team at the Midwest Archaeological Center at Lincoln Nebraska.
