Introduction: Daniella Castillo Vasquez

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for reading my first blog post. I am very excited to continue sharing with you what this opportunity will bring these next few weeks. My name is Daniella Castillo Vásquez, and I am a rising senior at Brandeis University pursuing a double major in Psychology and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies with a minor in Creative Writing.

This summer, I will be working as a Cultural Landscape Preservation Digital Media Resource Assistant on the Designing the Parks Team at the Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation in Boston, Massachusetts. One of my projects will be writing what we call ‘Projects’: brief, accessible articles about multiple historical sites across the country, with an especial focus on highlighting the underrepresented stories that often are overlooked when writing about a place’s history. I am incredibly honored to be a part of such an important project and cannot wait to continue learning about all these places.

See you next week!
