17 Aug Final Blog Post
So this is my last blog post for LHIP, and I am currently on my last day with my park as well. However, while I may be leaving I’m not going far, because I just accepted a position with our park’s non-profit partner Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA).
I will be the new Education and Community Outreach Coordinator. This is something I’m very happy to do, and to be a part of it will also give me a really good opportunity to continue doing the work I love while padding my resume some more to eventually become a park ranger. I’m super thankful to LHIP for giving me the opportunity to get my foot through the door and be something more than what I originally thought I could be. Now I have the opportunity to help make people like me do something similar, and be a part of something bigger than themselves. This internship was a bit of a gamble, but the investment has paid off huge. Everything right now in my life is fitting together so well, like a puzzle I can do with my eyes closed. While I do like talking about myself, I think I’m just going to end it here before it becomes too much. I hope everyone else in the program got what they were looking for.
Thanks.
