Hi, my name is Monica and I recently graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a degree in anthropology. I will be starting a master’s program in anthropology with a specialization in Mesoamerican archaeology at California State University, Northridge. I am a Los Angeles native and I grew up on the east side in Boyle Heights. I am proud of where my family came from and I embrace my Mexican heritage. I am a first generation college graduate y le quiero enseñar a mis padres que si me puse las pilas! I will be interning at Channel Islands National Park as the historic preservation intern. I am very excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to see what’s in store for me.
