27 May Enjoying my new home for the summer!
Made it to Seattle! I am immediately overwhelmed by an influx of happiness and adventure that overcame me once I stepped off the airplane. Klondike Gold Rush National Historical park is an amazing place to visit and work at, because it is rich in history and has wonderful people running the park. All my coworkers are one of a kind, they have shown me nothing but kindness, which makes me even more excited to start collaborating on some amazing projects. The city itself is breath taking, it is wonderful that Klondike is located downtown in Pioneer Square. It has been great working in the visitor center introducing people to the history of how Seattle had an essential role during the Klondike gold rush. My first week here has been eventful as well, we did some restoration work, pulling invasive blackberries from the Luther Burbank park trails. I can’t wait to see what the summer has in store for me here at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park!
