30 May Cheers to a Sunny Tomorrow

Hello everyone. My name is Kyle McGrady. This is my first internship with the program, and I am excited for what this summer will hold. I will be heading out to the beautiful Channel Islands National Park here in sunny Southern California. I am 23 years old and have been out of college for a whole year now. It was an amazing experience to graduate from the University of California, Riverside last year. I was able to obtain a B.A. in History with a concentration on the United States. My favorite research topic was American civilian life from the years 1840 to 1873. Some people find history boring. I find history to be fascinating because it shows how we got to where are. There are so many mistakes to learn from the past that can help transform our culture to be what we all hope it to be. It is very amazing to be heading to one of the most beautiful portions of California to learn and work.  I do not know all of what is in store for me, and I am a little anxious to get there. I look forward to what this experience could unlock for my future and what it could do to transform me.
