Hello everyone! My name is Cristobal Lopez, and I am a first-generation M.A. student in the History Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. I earned my B.A. in History from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. My topics of interest include the Spanish Borderlands, Immigration, and Public History.

This summer, I will be working as a Cultural Resource Management Intern at the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park! During my internship, I will be utilizing primary and secondary source material to research the origin of the cemetery at Mission San Jose y San Miguel de Aguayo.

I am extremely excited to build upon existing research and to contribute to the rich cultural history of San Antonio. I also look forward to sharing my research and findings in my blog posts this summer!
