05 Aug Best Supervisor Ever

This is it, my last week here. I wanted to take the time to thank my supervisor, Lewis. Without him, my special project would not have been possible. Furthermore, my experience at Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve would not have been the same. I was able to experience all sides of the park: interpretation, resource management, maintenance, and a few other jobs that were not listed. I took every opportunity that my supervisor presented to me as an opportunity to grow. I may only use it once, but it has widened my perspective a little more than before. I am glad that I was not stuck in an office for my whole internship. I was able to go outside and receive some sunshine, sometimes too much sunshine. Those were the fun times. I definitely feel like a different person leaving this trip, and that is for the better. I would also like to thank all of the other interns and volunteers I was able to meet. We were all from different backgrounds and that is what brought us closer together. I can only hope that my life continues to lead me towards amazing people and experiences. Good luck to you all.
