16 Jun Beginning my Adventure

Hello, my name is Lizzet, and I cannot wait to see what new adventures await me with my internship. On Saturday I will be graduating from California State University, San Bernardino, with B.A. in Environmental Studies and Global studies, and the next day I will be arriving in San Francisco to begin my internship. I am somewhat nervous since I will be on my own for the first time, but I am also very excited to be able to begin this internship. I will be working on a Story Map aimed at explaining the history of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail. I have always thought of national parks as an important part of our lives due to their beauty and personal appreciation towards them, yet I never truly thought about the historic aspect of parks. This internship will help me and others better understand the history of this park and its importance, something I am excited to be a part of. I hope to be able to accomplish so much more than expected for this internship and to grow personally during my time in the Bay area.
